I've been fighting some right heel pain for a while. In my case I think shoes had alot to do with it.

Nice jon on the all the miles, even if some of them are uninspired. Don't know if I've ever run any miles on the treadmill that were inspired.

Of course I meant nice "job".

I guess the afternoon miles were far more inspired!

Be so super careful! I ignored my right heel ache for a bit and ended up in trouble!!! Stretch your calves like crazy (that stretches your arch at the same time) just to be safe and then go get some shoes!

11.69 is a good round number. Are you gonna run again tonight??? You have done 3-a-days before.

no more running today. maybe some inclined walking to burn some calories but that's about it.

p.s. Tom, do you still wear Landreth's? i bought a pair on clearance a couple of months back thinking they were similar to the Cumulus, but i haven't liked them at all. the arch support is different and uncomfortable for me.

Cal I dumped the Landreth's about a year and half ago for the most part. The newer models are different like you mentioned in the arch support and it seems more rigid and uncomfortable.

I was doing really good with lighter shoes for most running, not necessarily racing flats but combo of flats and trainers that were all less than 10oz. This worked for a year until I started tinkering with my form to try and heel strike less and land more on the mid-foot instead of heel. The form improvements helped all my old injuries but I was probably a little too aggressive playing with form and replaced the old injuries with the right heel pain. So now I'm trying to find the right mix of shoes and running form, etc that works best. Haven't gotten there yet but right now I'm doing more running again with heavier shoes on longer runs. The right heal pain is getting better but now I'm dealing with a little PF in both feet :(

NICE "inspired" LT run at noon. Take care of that heel!

Your mileage is very INSPIRING!!! :)
